While following the traditional water-town layout, BMC has recreated a balanced and harmonious relationship between the water and the city, as well as between the water and the residents. To achieve this, it has developed a green space structure that includes "one belt, one axis, two rings, one core." This structure creates an interconnected green system that allows residents to enjoy nature right at their doorstep.

In recent years, BMC has achieved a green coverage rate of over 33.43%. The city has several parks and green spaces spread across its area, providing ample recreational spaces for residents. Additionally, BMC is dedicated to water environment management, which has significantly improved the water quality of local rivers and lakes, revitalized the aquatic ecosystem, and presented a picturesque environment with pristine waters and verdant shores.
