The Museum of Grand Canal Culture, also known as the Capital Museum East Branch, is a significant new public cultural facility in Beijing Municipal Administrative Center. It is located northwest of the Central Green Forest Park and adjacent to Beijing Performing Arts Center and Beijing Library. The museum takes the "boat of the canal" as the design concept, integrates historical elements into modern architecture, and raises the sail of national culture on the side of the millennium canal.
The Grand Canal Museum of Beijing takes people, canals and city as the main line, showcases Beijing's urban development history and construction achievements from the perspective of human geography and ecological civilization, and launches a series of exhibitions. The exhibition system consists of four types: basic exhibition, special exhibition, temporary exhibition and open exhibition.
