Recently, the Beijing Corn Variety Smart Exhibition Park (referred to as the Corn Smart Park), which hosts the Corn Variety Demonstration and Promotion Event of the 32nd China Beijing Seed Industry Conference, officially opened in the Yujiawu International Seed Industry Science and Technology Park, Tongzhou District. The park is showcasing cutting-edge new varieties such as smart corn and dwarf corn for the first time, providing the industry with forward-looking insights.
It is reported that the Corn Smart Park, covering over 80 mu, serves as the core base for the display and evaluation of new corn varieties and technologies at the 32nd China Beijing Seed Industry Conference.
The park brings together over 400 new corn varieties from seed enterprises and breeding institutions across Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and domestic and international sources, including grain corn, fresh corn, silage corn, and sterilized corn, and introduces smart corn and dwarf corn as cutting-edge innovations in a centralized display for the first time, offering a visionary perspective for the industry. In the future, visitors may follow the field growth of exhibited corn varieties via the WeChat mini-program of the 32nd China Beijing Seed Industry Conference and book onsite observation appointments.
The park employs a large model-based comprehensive smart management solution, deeply integrating intelligent water-fertilizer integration, new seed coating agents, precision formula fertilization, and green integrated pest and disease control technologies. It has established a comprehensive “sky-ground-digital” monitoring and management system.
This marks the first systematic and large-scale display in China of advanced smart management solutions applied to corn cultivation, setting a practical benchmark for technology-driven seed development.
