With the new semester approaching this September, the Tongzhou
Campus of Renmin University of China will welcome its very first cohort
of students. Let us explore and illuminate the sports map of the BMC,
stretching from the banks of the Grand Canal to the historic site of
Lucheng.
Sports Venues on the Tongzhou Campus
Stadium
Located at the
northwest corner of the campus, the 26,000㎡ stadium has earned triple
certification from FIFA, World Athletics, and the Chinese Athletics
Association. It features one standard athletics track, one standard
11-a-side football pitch, and six standard basketball courts.
Ball Sports
Adjacent
to the stadium is a 15,000㎡ sports area: two 5-a-side football pitches,
five standard volleyball courts, four standard tennis courts, and eight
standard basketball courts.
Beneath
the Student Affairs Center lies a table tennis room. Bright and
spacious, it is neatly equipped with well-arranged tables, ready for use
at any time.
Student Community Gym
Conveniently
located within the student dormitory area, the gym is divided into
zones tailored to different training needs, providing a comprehensive
workout environment.
Cardio Zone
This
zone is an ideal partner for beginners, featuring neatly arranged
treadmills and elliptical machines. Electronic displays track workout
data in real time—speed, distance, and calories burned are all instantly
visible.
Strength Training Zone
A wide array of professional equipment is available, ranging from arm trainers to rowing machines for sculpting back muscles.
Free Weight Zone
Next
to the machine area is the free weight zone, where rows of dumbbells
are neatly organized. Shock-absorbing mats reduce equipment collision
noise to a minimum.
Yoga Room
Spacious
and bright, the yoga room is fully equipped with mats, resistance
bands, light dumbbells, yoga blocks, and other professional gear.
Dance & Aerobics Studio
Students
can burn calories with dynamic workouts, stretch and sculpt by the
barre, and unleash energy and rhythm before mirrored walls here.
Let’s
step outside the campus and walk into Tongzhou so that we can light up
the urban map with sports and experience the growth of the BMC.
