Who says autumn is only about falling leaves? In the BMC, fields of flowers are still in full, vibrant bloom. Here are four stunning flower-viewing destinations — call your friends and set off together!

Monet’s Garden in Autumn — Xihaizi Park



Surprise right at the entrance! Floral paths lined with autumn blossoms frame the ancient pagoda in the distance — every snapshot looks like a Monet-style oil painting. 
Recommended Flowers: Sunflowers, Zinnias, Cockscomb
Blooming Season: September–November (Peak bloom in mid-October)
Photography Tips: Flowers are relatively low; crouch for a low-angle shot to frame the pagoda and the flower sea together for maximum atmosphere. 
Parking: Underground parking on the northwest side
Transportation: Subway Line 6, Tongzhou Beiguan Station (Exit C), 5-minute walk

Autumn Palette — Beijing Central Green Forest Park



The “emerald” of BMC hides a vast floral paradise! Brilliant chrysanthemums, gentle roses, and swaying plume grass together create a dazzling explosion of color.
Recommended Flowers: Chrysanthemums, Roses, Elsholtzia, Plume Grass 
Blooming Season: September–November (Chrysanthemums peak in late October)
Photography Tips: Shoot during early morning or evening golden hour for soft lighting — perfect for portraits. 
Parking: P6 Parking Lot (direct access to the South Gate, right at the flower area) 
Transportation: Metro Line 6 (Lucheng Station) / Line 1 (Tucheng Station), transfer to Bus T116 to “Central Green Forest Park South Gate”

Romantic Pink Sea — Canal Ecological Park



A hidden gem of serenity and beauty! The area near the southwest gate is covered in a dreamy pink mist of muhly grass that sways like waves in the breeze. 
Recommended Flowers: Pink Muhly Grass, Plume Grass
Blooming Season: September–November (Muhly at its pinkest in mid-October)
Photography Tips: Walk the wooden boardwalk for panoramic shots; for golden reed photos, visit after 4:00 p.m. when the sunset turns them radiant.
Parking: Limited parking — green travel recommended 
Transportation: Subway Line 6, Beiyunhe East Station (Exit A), 8-minute walk

Autumn Blossoms beside Ancient Ruins — Luxian Ancient City Archaeological Site Park



Where history meets nature’s beauty! A field of purple asters and gaura creates a dreamy blend of ancient charm and wild vitality. 
Recommended Flowers: Purple Aster, Gaura, Cosmos
Blooming Season: September–October
Photography Tips: Head straight to the North Garden! The main flower area lies near the South Gate of the North Garden — fewer crowds and great shots. Wear light-colored outfits for the best results.
Parking: P4 Parking Lot (closest to the North Garden South Gate, 2-minute walk)
Transportation: Metro Line 6, Dongxiayuan Station (Exit C), transfer to Bus 804 or T41 to “Luxian Ancient City Archaeological Site Park”
