In accordance with the Civil Air Defense Law of the People's Republic of China, the Law of the People's Republic of China on National Defense Education and the Regulations of Beijing Municipality on Civil Air Defense, the People's Government of Beijing Municipality has decided to conduct an air raid siren test in designated areas of the city on September 19, coinciding with China's National Defense Education Day. 

The details are as follows: 

Time: 

10:00–10:23, on September 19, 2026 (Saturday)

Test Coverage: 

Areas outside the Fifth Ring Road

Schedule:

The test will proceed in three distinct phases, each lasting 3 minutes, with a 7-minute interval in between. 

Advance warning:

10:00 to 10:03, 36 seconds on, 24 seconds off, and repeated three times. It will last 3 minutes in total.

Air-raid warning:

10:10 to 10:13, 6 seconds on, 6 seconds off, and repeated 15 times, also lasting 3 minutes in total.

All-clear signal:

10:20 to 10:23, a prolonged sound continuing for 3 minutes. 

Foreign nationals in Beijing are kindly advised to maintain their normal work and daily routines throughout the testing period.
