The names of 11 stations on Beijing Subway Line 22 (Hongmiao–Pinggu) were announced. As the first urban rail transit system to connect Beijing and Hebei, the line is expected to be substantially ready for operation by the end of this year.

Line 22 (Hongmiao–Pinggu) will run approximately 79.1 kilometers west to east from Hongmiao in Chaoyang District to Pinggu New Town. It will have 20 stations, including 15 in Beijing and five in Hebei. The newly announced names of the 11 stations in the Beijing section are: Pinggu Station, Guononggang Station, Machangying Station, Mafang Logistics Port Station, Luyuan East Station, Luyuan Station, Furong West Road Station, Yongshun Station, Dingfuzhuang Station, Ganlu Yuan Station, and Ciyunsi Station.

The names of the other four transfer stations along the route have already been finalized during the naming of the other corresponding connecting lines. Among these stations, passengers will be able to transfer to Line 14 at Hongmiao, the Batong Line at Guanzhuang, Line 6 at Tongzhou Beiguan and the BMC Railway Station, and the Beijing–Tangshan Intercity Railway at the BMC Railway Station.

Sanhe City in Hebei Province previously announced the names of the five stations in Hebei: Yanjiao Station, Shenwei Dajie Station, Chaobai Dajie Station, Gaolou Station, and Qixinzhuang Station.

On August 25, Line 22 (Hongmiao–Pinggu) officially began trial operations without passengers, marking a key step toward its anticipated readiness by the end of the year. When it opens, the fastest journey from Yanjiao Town in Hebei to Beijing Municipal Administrative Center will take just nine minutes, while the fastest trip to Hongmiao Station in the heart of Chaoyang's CBD will take approximately 28 minutes.
