Tongzhou District Bureau of Justice
(1) Undertake the legitimacy review work of normative documents issued in the name of the District Government or District Government Office, as well as relevant documents or matters involving legal issues submitted for review at District Government meetings and approval by the District Government. Undertake the filing and review work of normative documents prepared by various townships, sub-districts, and District Government departments.

(2) Plan as a whole and promote the construction of a rule-of-law government in the District. Guide and supervise the administrative work of various departments of the District Government and township governments in accordance with the law. Take charge of comprehensive coordination of administrative law enforcement, undertake work related to promoting the reform of the administrative law enforcement system, and advance strict, standardized, fair, and civilized law enforcement. Guide and supervise the administrative reconsideration and administrative litigation work in the entire district, and handle administrative reconsideration and administrative compensation cases. Undertake the agency work of responding to administrative litigation of the District Government. Undertake the work related to administrative reconsideration cases of District Government adjudicated by the municipal government.

(3) Undertake the responsibility of coordinating and planning the construction of a rule-of-law society in the District. Draft plans for legal publicity and education, and organize and implement legal publicity work. Promote people's participation and advance the rule-of-law construction. Organize the work of rule-of-law governance and establishment of the rule of law. Organize the mediation work, select and manage people's jurors and supervisors, and promote the construction of judicial offices.

(4) Take charge of the community correction work and the placement and assistance work of released prisoners in the District.

(5) Formulate the construction plan for the public legal service system in the District and organize its implementation, plan as a whole and lay out urban, rural, and regional legal service resources. Manage lawyers, legal aid, judicial appraisal, notarization, arbitration, and grassroots legal services in the District.

(6) Be responsible for the work related to construction of the legal talent team in the District and the team building of this system.

(7) Fulfill other tasks assigned by the District Committee and District Government.
