On September 24, the section of Lishui Road (Baoguangsi West Street — Xiuyuan Street) in Taihu Town officially opened to traffic.

After a year of construction, this urban secondary road, eagerly anticipated by local residents, not only injects new vitality into the regional transportation network but also effectively addresses the “last-mile” travel challenges of surrounding communities.

As a key traffic node connecting Baoguangsi West Street and Xiuyuan Street, Lishui Road stretches approximately 415 meters and is built to urban secondary road standards, featuring a four-lane bidirectional layout, a 40-meter road red line, and a scientifically designed speed limit of 50 km/h.

Since construction commenced in September 2024, Taihu Town has adhered to the goal of “on-time delivery with high quality,” overcoming challenges within a tight construction schedule to deliver a remarkable achievement for public convenience.

For residents of communities such as Taihe No.1 Mansion, Yanbao Garden, and Yinhewan (Galaxy Bay), the road opening is more than just a new thoroughfare — it acts as a “commute accelerator,” significantly improving travel conditions to Ciqubei Station on Line 17 and greatly reducing commuting time.

Notably, Lishui Road incorporates smart traffic concepts, innovatively introducing intelligent transportation elements. The road features multifunctional smart lampposts, integrating intelligent driving technology with traffic lighting systems. This not only enhances the modernization and technological sophistication of the infrastructure but also signifies a new phase in the intelligent development of regional transport facilities.
