As a flagship international high-end retail project, the Sam’s Club Tongzhou store is strategically located in Fuhao Village Cluster, Songzhuang Town, Tongzhou District. The project represents a total investment of approximately RMB 560 million, with a construction scale of about 56,000 square meters.

In addition to core commercial facilities, the project will include supporting infrastructure and improvements to surrounding roads. Scheduled to open in 2027, it is expected to serve not only the entire Tongzhou District but also the broader eastern Beijing area.

According to reports, the Sam’s Club Tongzhou project is invested and developed by BIG as the investment cooperation subject, and has been included in the list of “2025 Beijing Municipal Key Projects.”

At the construction site, large-scale machinery operates in full swing, and workers are performing their respective duties in an orderly manner — presenting a vivid scene of vigorous development.
“In the past, I had to travel far to shop at Sam’s Club. Once it opens here, I’ll finally enjoy the freedom of shopping right at my doorstep!” said Ms. Li, a resident of Songzhuang, Tongzhou, expressing her excitement at the groundbreaking news.

The establishment of Sam’s Club in Tongzhou is a major achievement in BMC’s continuous efforts to optimize its business environment and attract premium international commercial resources. This project will not only strengthen infrastructure in the northern part of Tongzhou District but also enrich local retail space, innovate consumption models, and support the functional relocation of non-capital activities — all while driving industrial and consumer upgrades in the surrounding area.

According to preliminary estimates, once operational, the Sam’s Club Tongzhou store will generate sustained economic contributions to the region, becoming a new growth engine for commercial development in the BMC.
