On November 21, the cultural and tourism zone of Beijing Municipal Administrative Center (BMC) in Tongzhou District held an investment promotion conference, where contracts for projects such as the Mars Sci-Fi City and the Ferrari World Entertainment Complex were successfully signed, with a total investment of nearly 10 billion yuan.
Ferrari World Entertainment Complex is an adrenaline-filled destination where speed meets passion and heartbeats sync with roaring engines. It will feature the world's fastest roller coaster — Formula Rossa, Ferrari Esports Arena, Ferrari Museum, Ferrari Club, and a variety of other attractions. Once completed, it will become the first Ferrari World Entertainment Complex in Asia.
The Mars Sci-Fi City project is the first of its kind in China, combining Mars-themed cultural creativity, space science education, immersive scientific interaction, and space entertainment experiences into one Mars-themed immersive experience. The project, themed around Mars, is a collaborative effort with scientific research and educational institutions to create an immersive scenario. The key attractions include large-scale VR spaces and drifting experience projects, among others. Construction on the Mars Sci-Fi City is scheduled to begin early next year, with the venue expected to open by the end of 2028.

The cultural and tourism zone is rapidly taking shape as a fully equipped, resort-style destination, with a wave of new developments since the beginning of this year: the Endeavor City project has successfully completed its land bidding process, the North Ring Transportation Hub has entered trial operations, and three high-end brand hotels have officially opened. In addition, "Wanli" is set to open by the end of the year.
Looking ahead, the BMC cultural and tourism zone will promote the navigation of the Xiaotaihou River, creating a vibrant waterfront corridor that connects the Taihu Performing Arts Town with Universal Studios Beijing, Zhangjiawan Old Town, and the Grand Canal.
