It is forecast that from 14:00 on July 10 to 8:00 on July 12,Beijing will experience rainstorms,with heavy rainfall expected in Huairou,Miyun,Pinggu,Shunyi,Fangshan and other districts.Hourly rainfall in some areas may exceed 70 mm,while cumulative rainfall over a 24-hour period may exceed 150 mm.The meteorological risk of disasters such as flooding of small and medium-sized rivers,flash floods,mudslides,and landslides in mountainous and hilly areas is high,and low-lying areas are prone to waterlogging.
Precautions are advised for your own safety.
1.Limit outdoor activities,and stay updated on the weather forecasts and alerts.Public transport is recommended if travelling is necessary.
2.Employers are encouraged to adopt flexible working hours or staggered work schedules.
3.Schools may suspend classes and cancel in-person training and outdoor activities as needed.
4.Avoid visiting mountain or waterside tourist spots and underground commercial areas;stay away from dangerous areas such as areas prone to geological disasters and waterways.
5.Do not attend outdoor activities.Outdoor work and construction should be suspended.
6.Avoid driving through waterlogged roads,and do not park in low-lying areas.
7.Check if indoor electrical outlets,gas appliances,and other facilities are safe.

The Beijing Water Authority and Beijing Meteorological Service jointly issued an orange flash flood risk warning at 13:30 on July 9,2026.From 14:00 on July 10 to 08:00 on July 12,flash floods are highly probable in Pinggu,Miyun and Fangshan Districts(orange alert level).The public is advised to keep clear of flood gullies,halt all mountain and water-related outdoor activities,and take precautions against flash flood hazards.

The Beijing Municipal Commission of Planning and Natural Resources and the Beijing Meteorological Service issued an orange-level early warning of geohazard based on meteorological risks.From 14:00 on July 10 to 14:00 on July 11,there is a high risk of geological disasters such as collapses,landslides,and debris flow in Fangshan District,eastern Mentougou District,most of Changping District,Fengtai District,Huairou District,Miyun District,and Pinggu District(orange alert).The risk of geological disasters such as collapse,landslides,and debris flow is moderate in western Mentougou District,Shijingshan District,Haidian District,northwestern Changping District,and Yanqing District(yellow Alert).Please take precautions for your own safety.
Guidelines for the Public:
1.All residents are advised to closely monitor geological disaster warning information and refrain from entering the warned areas.
2.Stop all outdoor operations,construction,recreation,and other activities in dangerous areas and nearby locations.
3.When traveling,observe road conditions and avoid steep slopes and dangerous rocks.
4.Ensure your mobile phone remains operational to receive updates at any time.Cooperate proactively with relevant government departments regarding evacuation and resettlement arrangements.
5.Residents in the warned areas–especially those near slopes,cliffs,ravines,or water bodies–must heed evacuation signals,follow local authority instructions,and evacuate orderly to safe locations under staff guidance.
